Kitchen Countertop Installation and Replacement in Carson City
Kitchen countertop installation in Carson City, Reno, Minden and Gardnerville, including Top Swaps: the old countertops come out and new granite, quartz or quartzite countertops go in.
“They made my dream kitchen come to life.”
Replace Kitchen Countertops With a Top Swap
Excelsior Stone does kitchen countertop installation in Carson City, Reno, Minden and Gardnerville, and most of those jobs are Top Swaps. A Top Swap replaces the countertops on your existing cabinets: the old countertops come out and new granite, quartz or quartzite is installed.
The cabinets stay in place during a kitchen countertop replacement, so the rest of the kitchen stays as it is. Every Top Swap is templated, fabricated in the Carson City shop and installed by the same person.
A large share of countertop replacement in Carson City and Northern Nevada is old tile countertops coming out and granite, quartz or quartzite going in on the existing cabinets. The old countertops are removed and hauled away as part of the job.
Before Templating: Sink, Faucet and Cooktop on Site
Your sink, faucet and any slide-in cooktop need to be purchased and in the house before templating. The stone is cut to fit those exact pieces, so the cutouts match what will actually sit in them.
Demo and Install Day
Clear everything off the countertops and empty or remove the top drawers before demo. On install day, the floors and cabinets are protected, each piece is dry-fitted and checked against the measurements, then glued in place with the seams joined and the sink caulked.
Full-Height Backsplash After the Countertops Are In
A full-height backsplash runs from the countertop to the bottom of the upper cabinets. The walls are templated after the new countertops are installed, then the backsplash is fabricated to match and set on a return visit.
New Kitchen Countertops for Remodels and New Cabinets
Excelsior Stone also installs new kitchen countertops in Carson City and around Lake Tahoe for full remodels and kitchens with new cabinets. These jobs often include the larger pieces: waterfall islands, mitered edges and full-height slab backsplashes.
Much of the shop's work has been in high-end custom homes around Lake Tahoe, and Excelsior Stone works with custom home builders and designers as well as homeowners. Granite, quartz, quartzite, marble and porcelain are all available. For a remodel, send the cabinet plan or photos with your estimate request so the quote covers every piece of the new layout.
Outdoor Kitchen Countertops
Excelsior Stone also fabricates and installs outdoor kitchen countertops in Carson City, Reno and around Lake Tahoe. Each outdoor countertop is templated on site, cut in the Carson City shop and installed by the owner, the same as a kitchen inside the house.
